The first upgrade was a 2004 Cobra IRS rear with poly bushings, diff brace; which Robert and I knocked out one weekend. Next on the list was a 2004 Mach 1 driveline; 32v motor w/3650 trans and Mach 1 wheels. I had the valve covers powered coated and bought lots of new parts from Dallas Mustang: BBK chrome longtubes, BBK x-pipe, Flowmaster IRS catback, Ford motor mounts, new radiator hoses, JLT cold air painted to match car, Koni rear adjustible shocks, and an Eibach Prokit. Then found a set of 2004 Cobra suede seats, Cobra steering wheel and airbag, '04 Cobra gauge cluster, Mach 1 rear wing, chin spoiler, Mach 1 grill delete. All of these parts were bought off of the Mach 1 Registry.
Unfortunately, the oil pump went out late this summer. So I, bought a built alum shortblock, forged everything for $1,200. I had HPP Racing replace the rings and bearings and install it. Took the car to my buddy's shop this November to install a Cobra T-56 6speed, MGW shifter and knob, Spec stg2 clutch, Frpp 410 gears, DM speedcal, new Cobra rack, MM Bumpsteer kit and an alignment. This is a very fun car to drive and gets looked at everywhere I go. I couldn't have done this with out the help of Robert, Gerald, Dallas Mustang and the crew at HPP Racing.
